Jacksonville Area Opportunities: Apheresis Specialist - We are looking for a Registered Nurse or a Licensed Practical Nurse to work in our Apheresis and Therapeutics Department. The ideal candidate will be a friendly, patient, conscientious person who will constantly strive to do accurate work. Phlebotomy experience a plus. Help Desk Specialist - This position performs a variety of technology related support tasks for The Blood Alliance. Monitors systems and responds appropriately to user requests and problems. Performs initial problem analysis and local and remote technical support in the use of computer hardware, software, and specialized technology. Routes technology issues to appropriate technical staff. Works with network users and technical staff to communicate the status of problem resolution to users. Logs and tracks requests for assistance related to supported systems. Gathers and logs appropriate demographic data related to each request. Subject to on-call 24-hours, 7 days a week to cover software and/or hardware problems. Usually on-call one week per month. Requires Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree with 3 years technology related work experience in blood banking and/or computers. Lab Assistant Supervisor - The ideal applicant will be a precise, analytical worker that is capable of ensuring the work gets completed. If you can handle multiple tasks, are a disciplined worker, and enjoy concentrating on the details, we need to talk to you. We offer full training and reward your good work and loyalty. Laboratory Assistant - Receives and processes blood into blood components. Seeking a person with flexibility to join our laboratory department. Must be able to work independently, handle multiple assignments and perform repetitive tasks. Duties include preparing and filtering components from whole blood, documenting component preparation, accurate completion of packing, shipping and other related procedures. Medical Technician - This position requires stable, precise, hard worker, who will strive to do their best to accurately performs tasks in processing, bacterial detection, hematology, and antigen testing necessary to prepare and process blood and components in a timely manner. This position also completes ancillary duties including reporting of test results, sample handling, reagent preparation, record keeping and quality control. St. Augustine Area Opportunities: Mobile Unit Collection Specialist - The ideal candidate will be a friendly, patient, conscientious person who will constantly strive to do accurate work. This position will primarily work on our mobile units to perform donor blood collection functions including medical interviews, physical assessment, and phlebotomy.
