Ed Allen was one of the first African-American EMS directors in the state of South Carolina. He spent 33 years in the EMS department and retired as the Beaufort County EMS Director in 2009.

Daniel C. Brock

A certified public accountant, Brock is an active supporter of the Boy Scouts. At the national level, he participates at Scouting programs in Philmont, New Mexico. A member of his church mission workgroup, he is constantly busy working on Jacksonville area service projects. He completed his bachelors at the University of Florida, and earned his masters in Accounting from Boston College.

Valerie Collins, JD, MT(ASCP)SBB, is President and CEO of The Blood Alliance. Collins has more than 30 years of blood banking experience, is a 20-gallon blood donor herself, and is also an attorney. Collins is a past president of the Florida Association of Blood Banks and a current board member, and on the board of the Community Blood Centers Exchange Risk Retention Group. Collins is an active volunteer with the Jacksonville Humane Society.

Malcolm T. Foster, Jr., MD

Recognized as "The Doctor's Doctor" and recipient of the Excellence in Teaching Award, Dr. Foster is Board Certified in Infectious Disease and Internal Medicine. He is credited with reviving the University of Florida's College of Medicine at Jacksonville some 30 years ago. Dr. Foster is a graduate of Wake Forest University School of Medicine and completed his fellowship and residency at the University of Florida College of Medicine.

Jorge Gamba, MD

Dr. Jorge Gamba is in Diagnostic Radiology/Interventional Radiology and is past Chairman of Service of Radiology at Baptist Medical Center. He has received additional training in Interventional Radiology and Neuroradiology. He has a special interest and expertise in MRI of the brain and spine. Dr. Gamba is also a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) and is CAQ certified by the American Board of Radiology in both Interventional Radiology and Neuroradiology. He earned his bachelor's from Purdue University and his medical degree from Indiana University Medical School. He completed his residency at Duke University.

 

Susan Hamilton

Hamilton was the first female Chairperson of the Gator Bowl (2002) and has been a Trustee since 2004. She has served on many Boards from United Way of NE FL to the Girl Scouts Gateway Council, Pine Castle, OneJax and Seamark Ranch to name a few. She was recognized by the City of Jacksonville with its “Human Rights Commission Award” (2006) and was named a “Woman of Influence” (2005) and “Corporate Business Leader of the Year” (2007) by the Business Journal. She has been recognized by multiple media and corporate organizations for her tireless work in diversity. Her career experience includes various transportation-related legal positions with CSX and its affiliated companies. Her professional affiliations include being a member of the bar in Alabama, Florida, U.S. District Court of the Middle District of Florida, Jacksonville Bar Association, U.S. Supreme Court and the Torts and Insurance Practice Section of the American Bar Association. She earned her bachelor’s in Political Science from Auburn University and a JD from Cumberland Law School-Samford University.

Marianne Hillegass

Hillegass has been with Baptist Health for 23 years and is an active member of the community. Among her many professional affiliations, she is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, First Coast Healthcare Executives Group, Healthcare Financial Management Association and an alumna of Leadership Jacksonville. She also serves on the Board of Community Connections and United Way. A graduate of Jacksonville University with a bachelor’s in Economics and Business Administration, she earned her master’s in Health Administration from the University of North Florida.

 

Tracee Holzendorf, MSN, RN

Tracee Holzendorf has spent her dedicated career in health care serving in various leadership positions at Shands Jacksonville. She currently oversees a multi-million dollar budget and is responsible for establishing and meeting quality outcomes, division goals and strategic planning. Holzendorf has been active in the community, serving on the boards of Character Counts and Arlington Family YMCA. Her community engagement spans from United Way Leadership Circle, Women in Local Leadership (WILL), Better Jacksonville Plan Citizen Oversight Committee, to Junior League and Leadership Jacksonville. She is a graduate of the National Advisory Board Company's Nursing Leadership Academy, a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society and received her bachelor's in nursing from the University of North Florida and her master's in nursing from the University of Phoenix.

He is active with the Girls and Boys Club, Salvation Army and the Rotary Club of South Jacksonville. He earned his degree in business from Florida State University.

Sheryl Perry, MD

An anesthesiologist of more than 25 years, Dr. Perry has worked for private and educational/research institutions, including donating her services for 11 years as a volunteer anesthesiologist for Fresh Start Surgical Gifts Inc. of Encinitas, California. She is a graduate of UCLA School of Medicine where she also completed her anesthesiology fellowship and residency.

He was recognized twice as NAIOP’s Broker of the Year. He is also a principal of PRG Development. Sebesta also serves on the Board of Directors of NAIOP’s Jacksonville and Florida Chapters, the L’Arche Harbor House and San Jose Country Club. He earned his bachelor’s in Finance from the University of Notre Dame.

He began work with the Properties company as Senior Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs in 1996, and was Assistant General Counsel for PGA TOUR, Inc., starting in 1988. Prior to then, he was an Associate with a law firm in Vienna, Virginia, following his graduation from George Washington University Law School in 1984.

Board certified in medical oncology and internal medicine, Dr. Villegas served as Medical Director and Director of Ambulatory Services at the Ponce Correctional Complex and as a key faculty member at Damas Hospital Internal Medicine Residency Program. He has also worked in private practice in Internal Medicine. A member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology and the American College of Physicians, Dr. Villegas earned his medical degree from Puerto Rico’s Ponce School of Medicine and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Damas Hospital Internal Medicine Program where he acted as Chief Resident. He completed his fellowship in Medical Oncology at the University of Florida, Jacksonville.
